Epping Views Kindergarten

Our Program
Floor Book
Our Floor Book is a special place where we capture the children’s learning and experiences. It’s a wonderful way for children to reflect on their ideas, thoughts, and creations throughout the year. Parents are welcome to explore the Floor Book with their child, seeing the exciting things they’ve learned and achieved in kindergarten.
Parent Opportunities
We love having parents involved in our kindergarten community! There are many ways you can help, such as becoming a parent helper in the classroom, or sharing about your occupation or cultural holidays with the children. These opportunities help enrich the children’s learning and bring diverse perspectives into our classroom. All parent helpers are required to have a Working With Children's Check (WWCC) https://service.vic.gov.au/services/working-with-children
Nature Kinder
Every three weeks, we aim to visit a beautiful outdoor setting for Nature Kinder. These excursions provide children with the opportunity to connect with nature and learn through hands-on experiences. Being outdoors encourages exploration, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the environment, all while enhancing physical and emotional development.
Our Nature Kinder site is accessed using the Coleraine St entrance to Epping North Conservation Reserve.
Library and Story Book Bag Program
Our three and four year old groups are invited to borrow books from the library each week. Don’t forget to bring your own bag! Reading together is a fantastic way to build language skills, imagination, and a love for stories. Weekly borrowing allows children to explore different books and share their favourites with their families.
Our four-year-old groups will also participate in our Story Book Bag program, where children will bring home a new bag every fortnight containing a book and a matching activity. These bags are designed to support early literacy, numeracy, sharing skills, and problem-solving. The activities are a fun and interactive way for children to engage with the book, develop essential skills, and strengthen their learning at home with the support of their families.

Incursions, Events, and Excursions
Throughout the year, we offer exciting incursions and excursions to enhance children’s learning. Our three-year-old groups enjoy fun experiences like Drama Toolbox, Joe's Rhythm Fun, Little Sports Heroes, local walks, and visits to Epping Views Primary School. For our four-year-olds, we have special activities such as Holly's Backyard Bee, an onsite visit to the Melbourne Museum, the Responsible Pet Program, and Wild Action Zoo. In Term 3, they will also embark on an excursion to Bundoora Farm. These engaging activities promote creativity, teamwork, and physical skills, creating memorable experiences for all!
